VB wants DirectX upgrade

When I try to run a VB DirectX9 application that I created
with the teapot template (and don't ad any code) it comes
up with the dialog box:
"Microsoft Managed DirectX
This pre-release version of DirectX has expired, please
upgrade to the latest version from
http://www.microsoft.com/directx"
which I've done but I continue to get the error.

Please help! ;^)

It's been discussed recently at
microsoft.public.win32.programmer.directx.managed. Have a look there.

This was an error on Microsoft's part. The DirectX download site has
a patch to remove the expiration code, which wasn't supposed to be
there.

Go to this page:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/library/de...st/directx.asp

And download:
DirectX 9.0 SDK Update - Summer 2003: Expiration of Managed Code Patch
