Hi there,
I havea server, and a html eith a activeX embeded. There is a way to
prevent downloading the file each time the browser acces that page..or
this behaviour is by default? I need to load from temp if the file is the same
as last time
My understanding was that this is how it is supposed to work by default.
The ActiveX control is cached on the system and simply loaded back up rather
than being completely downloaded again, though I am unsure what specifies
the difference in files, maybe the version of the control.
C:\WINDOWS\Downloaded Program Files
I think this is where the controls are stored, disk cleanup utilities can
remove them, and maybe security software can prevent ActiveX from working
correctly.
Also, .NET does not use ActiveX any more :-)
Nick.
