VB.net Resource Kit: ComponentOne install error 1720

My box is single processor 2.4G P4 with XP pro.
VS.net 2003 installed.

I downloaded the MSDN VB.net resource kit. And requested a S/N from
ComponentOne for the install of the studio controls.

Install of Resource kit is fine. When I went to install the
ComponentOne controls I entered the license key they sent me when
requested. (Which is my fault because I didn't READ the directions
first...) Then I get the 1720 error saying stuff about the script blah
blah..

I've uninstalled the resource kit, run regclean and tried reinstalling
from scratch but the ComponentOne install never asks for the key now.
Is there a registry setting storing this value?

I'm stuck

TIA for any help!

I installed it the exact same way (even though it says to enter the serial number after they are
installed), however, it worked just fine for me. So, that is probably not the reason that it
failed, its probably something else

I couldn't install it as the Installer needed IIS and I only have XP Home.
