INFO: Visual Studio .NET 2003 Upgrade Offer

Hello,

There are often questions in this newsgroup posted by VS.NET 2002 users.
VS.NET 2002 is "out of date", its successor is VS.NET 2003.

There is a special ("cheap") upgrade offer available for $29 US. This offer
is open only until September 30, 2003. You will get more information about
this offer here:

Visual Studio .NET 2003 Upgrade Offer
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/ho...ade/vstudio03/

According to the document mentioned above the following versions are
eligible for the upgrade offer:

* Visual Studio .NET 2002 Professional
* Visual Studio .NET 2002 Enterprise Developer
* Visual Studio .NET 2002 Enterprise Architect

The following products are _not_ eligible for this promotion:

* Visual Studio .NET 2002 Academic
* Visual Studio .NET 2002 60-day Evaluation
* Microsoft Visual Basic® .NET 2002 Standard(*)
* Microsoft Visual C++® .NET 2002 Standard(*)
* Microsoft Visual C#® .NET 2002 Standard(*)

Users of the versions marked with (*) should read this document:

Note for customers in US and Canada
http://msdn.microsoft.com/vstudio/ho...standards.aspx

The new version of VS.NET can create .NET 1.1 applications. This is not
possible with VS.NET 2002.

If you want to upgrade to VS.NET 2003, don't forget to do that until
September 30, 2003!

Hi.

Is the offer that you mentioned open to UK customers, who purchased VS2002

I feel sorry, but I do not know what the "Select agreement" is. Which
edition of VS.NET do you have?
