Menu Merge

Can someone explain what the properties for merging menus are and how they
work.

I have a MDI Parent form with file, edit ...etc etc

I also have a MDI Child Form with file edit & a menu that is not on the
Parent.

What i am wanting is for the Child File Menu to append to the Parent File
Menu and same with the edit ... but i wish to add a Child Menu which is not
on the parent menu to the parent menu when the form is loaded.

I have read about the merge order and m,erge type but my menus are gettin
more and more out of whack.

I know merge order accepts numbers to tell it where to put them ... but what
are the valid numbers?????? is it a "menu index" of sorts?

and Merge Type ...could someone please inform me , before me menu ends up on
YOUR computer!!!!

Thanks,
Jeff

Hi Jeff,

|| 100,101,102, 103 for things I wanted on the file menu ...

When I was trying it out, I didn't bother with the items <under> File, I
just did it with parent and child File items themselves. The items that go
with these File menus will simply follow the lead of the main item.

|| Now .. On to generate more problems

LOL. Come back when you get into more mischief! :-)

Regards,
Fergus
