Service login

Hello,

We have a service that we wrote in Visual Basic .NET, it's
configured to to start automatically with user account "A".

This "manager" service then spawns some other VB.NET
applications that do various things, including using the
Dir function to access a directory on the network via the
UNC path.

Since all of these processes are started before anyone is
logged into the box, what user account would the spawned
applications be using to access directories? We keep
getting errors as soon as we try to use the Dir function
to access a directory on the network.

The user account that the "manager" service uses DOES have
permissions to view this directory.

It doesn't appear that there's any way to specify a user
name, password when connecting with the Dir function.
