using a vb.net form on a vb6 project

I have created a vb.net form (a calendar control) - and I need to call
it from a vb6 project. I have created the COM class and able to
"show" the form, however, I would like to reference property values on
the vb.net form AFTER that form is closed. I can reference the values
when the form is open, but how can I leave the vb.net form open and
set local variables in my vb6 app that will be usable AFTER the vb.net
form has been closed?
