Disassociating a control from the error provider

Hi,

I am having a problem with a form not being derefernced when it closes.
After some troubleshooting it appears the the problem is that the error
provider on a the base form is still holding a reference to the derived
form. So my thought is that I need to disassociate the Error provider and
my controls. The question is how can I do this?

One thought I had was to loop through the controls on the form and see if
the ErrorProvider property was set. As I understand it, the Error Provider
adds this property to the a control when the user does something like
errorprov1.SetError(myctl, "error message"). The problem is that since this
is done at runtime an attempt to use myctl.ErrorProvider will generate a
compile time error. It is my understanding that the ErrorProvider uses the
IExtenderProvider interface to add this property. So how can I check and
set this property? Reflection? Any code snippets are greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

jerry
