Data Set

Greetings I have a database with 10 odd tables on the MSDE.
I'm using vb.net and I use the Data Form Wizard to connect to the database.

Over there I always make a new dataset.

What are the implications of having one huge dataset with the reference to
all the tables and also, why do we need to make links in dataset ?

Is there any basic tutorial about this on the net ?

Any help on this would be appreciated, thanks.
