access password protected share folder

hi, i want to do a read and write access to a XML file in a share folder
with user name and password protected. I have the username and password
provided but i don't know how to do it in VB.NET.

btw i am using the xmlreader class to load the xml file and the file is
actually string in another PC on my network.

anyone got any clue ? please advice. thanks.

aikwee,

You will need to set up a "FileStream" with the authentication string. Then
you will be able to use an XMLReader to read the file into a dataset.

I found a C# example, maybe it will help you, maybe not.
