where is the build events button in Visual Basic Express 2008

i have googled this question but cannot find an answer. i'm running windows
vista and i'm using Visual Basic Express 2008. i know the build event button
SHOULD be in under the compile tag but i can't find it. i'm used to Visual
Basic 2005, so some help would be appriciated. i need to find the build
events tag because i'm creating a screen saver. perhaps there was an error
with my installation. PLEASE HELP!!!

Is the Project menu, <Project NameProperties Menu Item, Build Events tab
what you are after? I'm looking at 2008 C#, but I think VB is the same.

sorry mike, VB doesn't have the same setup as c#. i checked C# express
version and there is a build events tab there. unfortunatly, i just plain
can't find the build events button for VB. i read all the MSDN stuff, and i
looked where they said, but i still can't find it. does someone have VB
Express 2008 and know where build events is? does VB express even have build
events? i checked VB express 2005 and they didn't have build events either,
PLEASE HELP!

Default build directories seem to be somewhat different between C# and Visual Basic.NET. Both have "Debug" and "Release" directories under "obj". However, Visual Studio.NET defaults to a single "bin" directory whereas C# appears to duplicate the "Debug"/"Release" pattern under bin. This is creating problems for me in regards to browsed "References" added to a project. With C# I need to pick one, which is going to be bin/Debug during...

My web application uses resource files to keep localized strings etc. Those resource files prepared by external console program, which extracts this stuff from the database. Is there a way to invoke that program automatically after I hit build (rebuild) button in Visual Studio, before VSS actually trying to build the solution? I'm working with Whidbey beta 2.

There is a C# CTI app I'm working on using Visual Studio 2005 at revision level 8.0.50727-7600. I need a couple of Windows Form Button controls to emulate line buttons on a telephone. So I went to create a class file for the user control to subclass this out. Something basic for a start, just initializing things. When I drag this custom control from the Toolbox to my form then Visual Studio just abruptly exits without warning. So I...

Need help! I installed Visual Basic Express 2008 on a Windows Vista Premium machine with 2.4 GHZ and 2 gigabyte of RAM. I start VB Express and choose File|New|Windows Forms Application. VB churns for a bit and then disappers from the screen. I have uninstalled, reinstalled and cannot find anything on the web that remotely resembles the same problem I'm having. I never had a beta installed on this machine and the task manager tells me VB...

So, what is the relationship between Visual Studio and Visual Web Developer. I find a lot of documentation on MSDN that presents Visual Web Developer as it's own stand-alone product (which I'd expect of the Express editions), but apparently there are NON Express versions of Visual Web Developer. Is Visual Web Developer only built-in to Visual Studio 2008 Professional? I see "Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008" listed as an installed...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
