Application setting for datagridview alternatecellst yle

I can't find an application setting property for the
DataGridView.Al ternatingRowsDe faultCellStyle. BackColor.

Am I missing something, or did MS just not add this option?

I know how to do this manually, but I was hoping to automate the procedure
since I have a lot of grids in my project.

I attached the properties list of the column in a datagridview. The datagridview is bound. Note that the cell visible property is set to false and while looking at the datagridview in the VS IDE the cell is not shown. However when executing the program from within the IDE or the EXE directly, the column showns up! The only way I found to hide it was to set its width to 2 and set its autosize mode to none. Is there a workaround for this...

Is it possible to store an unbound DataGridView component into a setting? I naively tried defining a Setting that is a DataGridView called DGV, then simply assigning it: Properties.Settings.Default.DGV = myDataGridView; After I closed the program, the user.config file shows an empty value, so apparently that is not the way to do it.

I'm trying to set images in a bound DataGridView image column. My enum has three possible values, and I have an image that I want to show for each value: EnumValue.OK --GreenLight.gif EnumValue.Caution --YellowLight.gif EnumValue.Violation --RedLight.gif I want to display the graphic, instead of the enum value, in each row of the grid.

I have successfully bound an XmlDocument to a DataGridView but all fields seem to be strings. I want to retrofit appropriate datatypes on some of the fields. Let me take this in 2 parts. Part I: I found the ValueType field, leading me to believe that I could say dataGridView.Columns.ValueType = typeof(Double); dataGridView.Columns.ValueType = typeof(Integer); etc.

I have been experimenting with how to properly store objects into persistent application settings in user.config. I have read everything I could on MSDN (and elsewhere) and I have successfully stored objects of type String, DateTime, and ArrayList, for example. So I then tried an unbound DataGridView but it serialized with a null value. I tried the DataSource of the DataGridView; also null. I was going to try DataGridViewRowCollection,...

I want to set the value of a cell in a datagridview. DatagridView.CurrentRow.Cells(CEllName).value = "Blabla" When I do this in code and when it's the first cell I edit in a new row, it does not Bind to a new datarow. DatagridView.CurrentRow.DataBoundItem is nothing A new row is added only if I type (keyboard) anything in the cell, but programmatically, it does not add the row. How can I tell the datagridview, in code, that it must...

I'll start off with what i'm trying to do: i want to search my data programmatically and then jump to the row in the datagrid. My data will almost allways go out of the datagrids bounds so if the found result is not on screen at the time i want to 'scroll' to the result. sounds simple enough right? Some things i've tried to get the datagrid to do what i want:

I have DataGridView in virtual mode containing 3500 rows. In code below, assigning to RowCount value to 3500 takes 8 seconds. CPU usage goes high at this time. Stepping by F11 into user code shows few celltemplate property getters and combobox/datecombo constructor calls without database access which does not take a lot of time. Debug output (below) shows lot of messages Stepping over non-user code. Running in release mode from...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
