This really doesnt have anything to do with VB, did you post in the SQL, or
to the oracle or DB people for the product you use?
Its different for each of them.

you need to be a dba to do it(security wise).

Hi,

Sorry, I should've been more clear.

I would like to debug a stored procedure from the vb.net development
environment. I am executing 'ExecuteNonQuer y' (which in turn executes a
stored procedure) from my vb code and I want to be able to step into the
stored procedure and debug it. I have heard of SQL debugger, but don't know
to enable it in the vb.net environment in order to be able to step into a
stored procedure.

Regards,
kd.

You cannot debug a stored procedure by executing the stored procedure from
the 'ExecuteNonQuer y' method.
You can only debug the stored procedure directly from the IDE. To debug the
stored procedure, you have to set the breakpoints in a stored procedure by
opening the procedure from the server explorer, and then right-click the
stored procedure in the server explorer, and click "Step Into Stored
Procedure".

I've spent the last couple of hours trying to figure out how to debug a Java stored procedure and am just going in circles. The last straw came when I got "Cannot open input stream for default" when I launched the IBM Distributed Debugger via D:\IBMDebug>idebug.exe -qdaemon -quiport=8000,8001 First, a bit of background. I am running DB2 V7.2 with Fixpack 9 applied on Windows XP Professional (all critical service applied). I've written...

UDB PE 8.1 on XP. Have developed a simple java stored procedure using Development Center. Performed a "Build for Debug". Now, how do I actually perform the debugging? There 'is' a "Debug" option available (by right clicking the Stored procedure), but it seems to just run the program rather than provide any help in interactive debugging (like setting up breakpoints, observing the various values being set for various variables etc.). Have...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
