Crystal Reports - Database Login?

I have a crystal report using a Dataset which is populated at Runtime. It
works fine on my development machine, but when I deploy it to a test machine
I get a 'Database Login' box. There shouldn't be a need for it to connect to
any database because the dataset is populated with everything I need and
passed to the report using SetDataSource.. .

I'm using all the correct merge modules (Database_acces s2003, Managed2003,
regwiz2003, CRT71 and STL71)... help!

Thanks

I am by no means an expert in this area, but I've been playing with it for a
few days now so let me try to help. When you created the report did you
create it from a schema file or from a query? If you did it by talking to
the database and not a xml schema file this could be your problem.

Just a thought as I read your post.

I'm at the end of my rope. We have been trying to deploy Crystal Reports over our website. We have tried every report configuration we can think of and cannot seem to resolve this issue. Here is the problem. We keep getting prompted for a database login when we try to view reports that connect to our SQL Server database. We have tried using every combination of connection strings and methods, all with the login information saved. We...

Hello All, I have a Windows application that uses Crystal Reports 9 (bundled Version) developed using VS.NET 2003 on a windows server 2003 m/c. The application has to be deployed on the client machine that has Windows XP installed. Before deploying we make sure that .NET framework 1.1 is installed on the XP machine. In the setup project, for support for Crystal Reports, we have added the following merge modules: 1)Crystal_Managed2003.msm...

hi all, I have created some independent reports through crystal reports developer edition v 10 and developed a small tool in .net framework v 1.1 to view these reports through the crystal reports viewer provided by .net. This is a stand-alone windows application and nothing to do with the server. I am using local SQL anywhere database and connection is via an ODBC DSN. Before launching the reports I am passing the login information to...

I need some help please! Crystal is driving me nuts. Heres my code so far, see below. Problem: On the .export() line it comes back with error #5 Login failed! I know the login info is good so why is the bloody thing doing this. The paths have been checked and are correct. The crystal Report is a .rpt file. Not one created in the VS.net IDE but in crystal itself.

I'm developing an VB.NET Windows Forms application that uses CR for VS.NET (original version shipped with VS.NET 2002 - my VS.NET has the latest SP installed, no SPs for CR). My reports get their data from ADO.NET Datasets that are pre-populated by other modules of the application. What I need to do is to use these datasets as the datasources of my reports. Fine, I know how to do that and it works perfectly on my development box. The...

Hi All, I am working on Vb.net application with oracle as my database. I have developed reports using crystal report 9. Usually when you open reports directly in crystal report viewer control it prompts you for any necessary login information. My goal was to provide the login information by means of code, so that the user is not prompted for any login information. I tried to write the following code to achieve that purpose. On running the...

I can't believe that there aren't lots of developers who: 1. create a crystal report that connects to sql server 2. calls the report using the crystalreportviewer control to view it and then, if appropriate, print it 3. tries to deploy that report to the client's database, but now it calls for a different database name Yet I can't get an answer to the question: I have developed numerous reports in an app (Windows Database App) that...

Hi All Am having major problem with crystal reports...Have designed my report no problem, its when I try to run and display ther report that I am getting a "Login Failed" message. You can effortlessly switch the default language on Windows 10 without reinstalling. I'll walk you through it. First, let's disable language synchronization. Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Dear forum friends, With the development of smart home technology, a variety of wireless communication protocols have appeared on the market, such as Zigbee, Z-Wave, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, etc. Each protocol has its own unique characteristics and advantages, but as a user who is planning to build a smart home system, I am a bit confused by the choice of these technologies. I'm particularly interested in Zigbee because I've heard it does some...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...

Hello I'm a network technician in training and I need your help. I am currently learning how to create and manage the different types of VPNs and I have a question about LAN-to-LAN VPNs. The last exercise I practiced was to create a LAN-to-LAN VPN between two Pfsense firewalls, by using IPSEC protocols. I succeeded, with both firewalls in the same network. But I'm wondering if it's possible to do the same thing, with 2 Pfsense firewalls...
