Serialization of datasets when they are strongly typed?

I have a problem with the serialization of datasets when they are strongly
I am not sure where I would go to set an attribute to serialize the ds since
it really does not have a view in the IDE that represents it as a class?

My error is as follows;
An unhandled exception of type
'System.Runtime .Serialization. SerializationEx ception' occurred in
BeebdAccounting .exe

Additional information: The type
BeebdAccounting .SecuritySys.Co mponents.dsUser s+UsersDataTabl e in Assembly

Can anyone help?

Hello, We have a robust (.NET 1.1 c# winforms) client-server application that utilizes many typed DataSets, typed DataTables and typed DataRows. Our application is a series of windows and popup windows where you can edit information and data, nothing out of the ordinary. I estimate we have something like 50 to 100 tables and/or views in our database each of which map to one strongly typed DataTable. Now we have some odd 20 to 30 typed...

Hi all, I'm currently designing an n-tier application and have some doubts about my design. I have created a Data Access layer which connects to the database (SQL Server) and performs Select, update, delete and inserts. I use dataset objects to pass data to and from the DAL. In my GUI (windows forms), I use databinding to bind controls to a datatable

I have been trying out using strongly typed datasets in VS 2005, and I have to say that I don't like them...they produce loads of auto-generated code, and I would much rather create a single class to deal with all my data access and write it all manually. Is there anything good to say about about strongly typed datasets, or should I just not bother using them? *** Sent via Developersdex http://www.developersdex.com ***

Hi There. This post is a extension of thread "Serialize or not to Serialize", on 5 of December of 2006. The reason why my teacher insists that a WS cannot return a Dataset is due to low rate networks, not due to SOAP schemas. I think that's because a XML Dataset is too large. So, in my WS, I want to turn my dataset in some type of class, and then send

Hello, I'm in a front of very serious .net redesign/rewrite of an old VB6 application. I had been asked to make it .NET 2.0 and would like to ask couple of questions regarding data access as this application is heavily data-centric around MSDE database. Would it be better to use custom business objects or extend

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
