How to include database when ceating a setup

I have created an application with VB in Visual
Studio .Net. The application use a SQL server as database.

Can anyone explain how I include the database when i make
a setup for my application?
I have not created a setup before, so great if I can get
details.

Magnus,

I was waiting for a better answer.

You can do it running a SQL create script in your setup, however that is
something I do now exactly how and because there is a better newsgroup for
that question I advice you to ask it there.

Adonet
<news://msnews.microsof t.com/microsoft.publi c.dotnet.framew ork.adonet>

Web interface:
t.public.dotnet .framework.adon et>
With this I assume that your clients have already installed an SQL server
and only the database should be installed.

Otherwise you can forget it (even with MSDE although with SQL Express server
it will be possible in future)

I hope this helps anyway?

I have a question regarding paths and the include() statement in PHP. I develop in a Windows environment and will be publishing to a Linux server. I would like to do the following: 1. Setup my include references in such a way that I don't have to change them all every time I have to publish to the production server 2. Setup above in such a way that won't involve php.ini (& LInux equivalent), as I have access to edit this file...

I have a webserver through Rackspace. I create a domain. I create an FTP user. I upload some files. I create a database called testOfSetupScript and then I create a database user named setup. I write some PHP code which should, I think, be able to to auto create the tables. The SQL looks like this:

I have created a setup project and was able to include the exe as well as the source code in the install. However, I have been unable to include the setup project source. Therefore, when I access the solution after the install, I get an error message stating the setup project is missing. In the 'Add Project Output Group' dialogue, all my projects are listed EXCEPT the setup project. Any ideas? Scott

I am in the process of cleaning up a database that our company uses to track jobs, time and expense, and customer information. We are running Windows 2000 Server with approximately 20 terminals (Each running 2000) logging in each day. Four of these terminals access the server via Citrix. Currently the database is about 60MB, but it grows to 150 and larger each week. I am constantly having to compact it to keep it running smoothly. ...

Hi, firstly, I am new to access03 and server03 Originally, I had written an access 2002 database. Then, we transferred (for another reason) to server 2003. Then, we got access 2003. Then I wanted to setup the system in the following way: The database (now in access2003) sits in a shared folder on the server2003 machine. Anybody else who has access to that server and the folder can open the database form that folder, add data, write

One thing that can make porting C code from one platform to another miserable is #include. In particular, the need to either place the path to an included file within the #include statement or to very carefully define the order in which paths are searched with command line options on the compiler. Both can cause problems, especially when dealing with complex software distributions. It occurs ot me that by extending the C include...

Hi, I have 2 servers each running AIX and both have a DB2 database setup on them. I'm building a news management application and in our setup we need to have a staging and production setup. So the staging database gets the changes performed and then once we're satisfied with how it looks, we push the changes through SQL queries which perform the (deletions, updating, and inserting of articles) onto the production database by comparing it to...

Hello folks, I am unable to find appropriate documentation on the type promotion of bit-fields when using the generalised comparison operator "<=>". The problem is that using the GNU compilers, it seems that the internal comparison operator "<=>" tries to promote arguments from unsigned to signed. This is as boiled down as I can make it. Here is my compilation command: g++-12 -std=c++20 -Wnarrowing bit_field.cpp Here is the code in...
