This is probably a really silly question but I am exhausted and cant seem to find the answer. I have a query that I run from a command button on a form. The query has three criteria set. The first is built into the form and so is not a problem. Then the second and third criteria prompt me for parameters. This all works fine and I get the info I want broken down the way I want to see it. But sometimes I dont want to filter at all on these...

I have a pair of tables (Applicaties en Releases) in a 1-to-N relation. I created and tested a report based on Applicaties. I then added a subreport based on Releases using the wizard. This displays the correct data. BUT: before it displays, it asks me to enter a parameter value for "Applicaties". It makes no apparent use of any value entered. I have seen similar messages before, requesting a field value to be entered - caused by...

In Access 97 I used @ to make message boxes to separate the lines, rather than have the message all in one line. In Access 2000, all that happens is that "@" appears all over my message boxes. Is this feature in one of the libraries that isn't installed by default in Access 2000, and if so, does anyone know which one?

How do I answer the disable macro prompt automatically when opening an Excel workbook? We are using Excel 97 and 2002. In 2002 we want the Medium security (prompt user) to safeguard against e-mail attachments... but our ..NET app needs to open as Read-Only and Disable Macros at all times. Is there a way to answer these questions programatically before opening the workbook? I'm also looking for any good references on the Excel object...

Hi, I'm having trouble passing a parameter from my default.aspx page to my default2.aspx page. I have values from a query in a list box and the goal is to pass the "catID" from default.aspx to a stored procedure on the details2.aspx page. I can successfully pass the values from the listbox control to a

I am working in Access 2002 and I have been asked to create a form for a report based on a paramter query so that the user selects the department from a drop down list on the form, query runs and voila opens your report. Now, I have successfully done this, following the steps in a How-to I got off Microsoft's website, with just a form and a query. When I follow their instructions for the query-form-report, I get the form to open, select my...

I have the calculated field below, which runs fine by itself. When I put a selection criteria (3) into the query, however, I get these unexplained parameter prompts. I'm running Access 2002 on Windows XP. Any thoughts? ((Nz(,0)+Nz(,0)+Nz(,0)+Nz(,0)+Nz(,0))=3)

Overview: Windows 11 and 10 have less user interface control over operating system update behaviour than previous versions of Windows. In Windows 11 and 10, there is no way to turn off the Windows Update option using the Control Panel or Settings app; it automatically checks for updates and installs any it finds, whether you like it or not. For most users, this new feature is actually very convenient. If you want to control the update process,...

Let's talk about the concept of autonomous AI software engineers and no-code agents. These AIs are designed to manage the entire lifecycle of a software development project—planning, coding, testing, and deployment—without human intervention. Imagine an AI that can take a project description, break it down, write the code, debug it, and then launch it, all on its own.... Now, this would greatly impact the work of software developers. The idea...
