Ternary instead of binary?

And the 2038 problem comes again...
How many times longer would a ternary system work compared to a binary?

I'm confused as to the purpose of all your questions regarding this. Is there a reason you don't do the math yourself? You have not supplied enough information to answer any of your questions. It all depends on how many bits you're using to represent time.
