XFCE tweetdeck awk problems

DIRNAME=`dirname $0`
GNOME_DESKTOP_SESSION_ID=$GNOME_KEYRING $DIRNAME/TweetDeck
 

So XFCE has this problem with TweetDeck because TweetDeck only knows about gnome-keyring daemons.

Apparently Adobe Air and TweetDeck can't figure out the pid of gnome-keyring on their own, or describe this error in any detail other than stating that I am running a windowing manager that they dont support.

Anyway after some googling I found a really useful post over at mindby.com (http://mindby.com/2009/8/TweetDeck-with-XFCE/) but I have this problem where the awk command isn't working.

I don't know jack about awk, so if someone could take a look at this script and tell me why the awk statement is failing and how to fix it I would be super grateful!

I don't know awk myself but since there are no replies to this thread, so I will suggest that you should try finding some help on #awk at irc.freenode.net. I checked the channel myself and there are over 70 persons there. And the Topic of #awk says (Note- See the BOLDed text in quoted text):

Actually I found that in the latest Ubuntu release there is an environment variable that gives me the PID of gnome-keyring so I dont even need the first line of the script anyway.
