I am a novice in using linux operating system

Please, i din't know anything about linux operating system and its workabilities. How do i start?

Google! Start with a list of basic Linux commands. Heck, there are plenty of Linux tutorials out there. Plus download a live version (bootable cd distribution that runs in memory) and practice with it.

Hello,

To start with, here is a good linux tutuorial. And as numberwhun said, learning and practising Linux using a Live CD is a very good option for newbies. I will personally recommend using SLAX Live CD (although you may choose any other linux distro).
