I have a new email server using dovecot and postfix. We just activated port forwarding, and I have an A record and MX record in a name server externally.
From day one of installing this server, I was able to send mail out, but not receive (which makes sense, since there was no external record pointing to my ip). Now, however, I can only send messages from command line. My Thunderbird cannot access my domain any longer! Command line can send messages internally or externally, but Thunderbird does nothing but hangs. Since this machine is virtual, I've started from a fresh version that was known to work, and still nothing. Any idea what the problem might be?
