[USB boot]Cannot boot DSL from USB key.

121 100+
I followed this tutorial:http://www.pendrivelinux.com/2007/01/02/all-in-one-usb-dsl

Well I've downloaded the latest release of DSL(Damn Small Linux), and syslinux 3.5.2.

First I extracted the contents of DSL into my USB key;
Second I extract the contents of syslinux inside my winXP;
Third I run the cmd console to issue:
syslinux -f g:
Where g: refers to my USB drive.

And I rebooted my laptop, it went directly into winXP even I've set the booting priority to be USB first and HD second...

I just don't know where I got wrong. I even tried these commands but none of them works:

syslinux -ma g:
syslinux g:

Can anyone help? Thanks in advance.

Is your BIOS configured to boot from a USB drive? You will likely need to specify the boot order to look on your USB device before the hard disks.

I just fixed this problem late last night. Previously my hard disk's booting priority was above the USB, I switched the order and now everything works fine.

BTW I just know that USB key is not counted as remote devices in the BIOS...
