Getting ASP files to run on UNIX

Please help me... someone please take pitty on the programming challenged. I have a bunch of ASP files and I know only HTML - trying to get these files to run on a UNIX based system - is there anyway I can convert these files easily? Please take into consideration that I am stupid.

I mean I am developing a new site in dreamweaver ( HTML) but want the website to work in the meantime and the files were written for a windows based system. I now have them hosted on a strictly UNIX based system and want to use them short term for a few weeks. I have tried a program asp2php but did not have any luck.... quite possibly again becuase I am stupid. Please help!!!

how complex are the asp scripts?

if you have a lot of them you could try http://www.chilisoft.com for your unix server, it will allow it to run asp scripts on unix. Are these scripts FP? if there are using ASP from frontpage there are frontpage extensions for Apache.

Take a look at the http://www.apache-asp.org/ and post back if it helps.
