Upgrading Kernel

Hi there..

I tryed to upgrade my Linux kernel from 2.4 to 2.6.18.3

The problem is :

When i tryed to use mkinitrd, the error occured : Can not buslogic for version 2.6.18.3..

Any one could help me, please...
