Failing replication after WAN disconnect requiring restart MS SQL Agent 2008 R2

This question was asked by Fredrik M?ller but can't see any replies.

I have a problem with Transactional Replication over a WAN. Server A is a distributor and server B is a publisher. Sometimes the network goes down and replication fails. When the network comes up again the log reader at server A continues to fails. To get the replication going one has to restart the SQL Agent at the server B.

This is a big problem. The personnel who watches over the replication sometimes has to restart the agents in the middle of the night.

Is there any way I can automate to restart the SQL Agent?

Thanks for your help in advance.

Should you be asking why the network is failing in the first place?

Good Luck!!!
