1.Open Microsoft SQL Server management Studio, Log in with sa account, right click on Databases, Restore Database, highlight radio button from From Device select the exiting WhatsUp database and restore.
2.Provide access to the restored database: expand Security, Logins and right click on NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE and select Properties, select User Mapping, highlight WHATSUP (database for whatsup), highlight db_owner.
3.Ensure the connection exist in OBDC Data Source Administrator: open OBDC Data Source Administrator, log into the database (SERVER\Database), ensure the correct database is selected (WHATSUP) this case, next, finish and test data source.
