Cannot Import .txt file from linux server

Hi ,
While I am trying to import a .txt file from Linux server , I am getting this error -
"The specified header or row delimeter "{CR}{LF}" is not found after scanning 65536 bytes of the file"..

In the linux server I can see the file , open it and can download it to my local windows box as well. what could be the problem ?

Linux only uses line feed for a new line. Macs use carriage return ony. Windows uses carriage return and line feed.

It's exactly as Rabbit said. On your linux box use unix2dos command (May be you will need to install this package if it's not installed) on that file to make it windows compatible.

Alternatively, most FTP clients have a built-in option to handle transferring data from Unix to Windows formats. Calling such a process to transfer the data onto the local machine for the SQL server wouldn't hurt, and fixes that problem at the same time.
