change ip address of my sql server 2005

hi,
ihave recently installed sql 2005 server on my company server,the server has 2 ip addresses,one is internal and other is external.now i installed ssmse on one of my system,and when i try to access the database with internal ip,i am not able to acces, but when i access the same with external ip i can.
can sum1 suggest me how can i change the ip to internal and make it accesible from internal ip.i have already dun the settings in sql configuration mamanger(tcp/ip settings),but nothing happens
