Time Out Expires messages during printing and transactions

We are using a windows based program using MS SQL as our back end. We are not connected to the internet and this software is used with only 5 users.

We always get time out expired messages when trying to process transaction and when printing reports.

What could be the problem. Thank you very much.

It could be of different reasons. Among them....
  • Size of your table
  • The query you used to access your table
  • Whether there is index or not
  • The connection you use from your front-end to your back-end
  • The way you access your data (recordset, etc)
  • The processing each of those five users are doing
  • Transaction handling

Good Luck!!!
