login problem

P: 1
hi there,
I have a testdb on sql server 2000 installed uder Windows XP. my client applications are connecting to testdb through odbc. It works ok. Recently just out of curiosity, I installed W2k3 and sql server 2000 on it. Then I restored the testdb in it. I backed up testdb under WinXP using Ent manager, then copied the backup over 2K3 and restored there. It seems to restore ok, usernames are in place. problem occurs when i try connect client applications. They cannot get authenticated.odbc connection test for sa is ok. any ideas how to reslove this issue? thnx in advance.

Are you saying when you use sa to connect through ODBC, it's OK and when you use other username it denied the connection? Try connecting to your server using the user's login. If you can connect, you should be able to in ODBC.

Good Luck!!!
