42
Hi All,

I need to retrieve data from an access database and I need to update this into a MS SQL 2005 on a monthly basis(Needs only once in a month, let it be 1st of every month). What I need to do? Do u think I need a console application. I am using ASP.NET c# and SQL 2005. Thanks in advance.

Two ways:

Create your code in Access and connect directly to your SQL Server and do the necessary update.

or

Create your code in SQL Server and connect to your Access to update your tables.

An even easier way maybe is to use a tool built for this purpose like this one :
DMC - Convert Migrate Clone Transfer Visualize your data from any source to any destination

It will let you clone the access table even and then transfer the data after doing all your mappings
