SQL Sleeping mode . Confused

Im learning use SQL server and i have a little problem...

In my company are db, but recently we opened new point and there separeta db with SQL remote or smth like.. anyway.. problem is that our db connected via host (sorry for english) to each other and transfering information using db managinbg software (Rivile) so.. server and work place in the same computer where Rivile is, and there is SQL remote and replicas, i start SQL, then replicas and down the replicas panel write : Sleeping....
what is that ? i really dont know, i ques that i can synchronize correctly my Rivile db with others..
my english really bad, but maybe anyone understandt what i need :) thanks alot ;)
