If I add 1000 tasks to the SQL Server Agent, and those tasks are to be
run over the next few minutes (e.g. 300 at 10pm, 300 at 10.01pm, 400
at 10.02pm)...
- Should they all kick off at their scheduled times?
- Is there a maxmium number that can kick off at once?
- Is the SQL Server Agent single or multi-threaded?
- If it's multi-threaded, can you control/see the number of active
threads?
- Is this the same as 1000 users hitting F5 in Query Analyzer or is
there a major difference?
And if the answers to the above are no,yes,single and no, what should
I be using instead of the SQL Server Agent? !
Any help here would be greatly appreciated.
