Wierd Problem with Enterprise Manager

Hi,

I can not find any reference or support for the following issue from
Microsoft or on Google:

When I open a table either to return data or try to use the design tools or
if I try to create a new database diagram, I get a new result pane, diagram
pane etc... but no result and no functionality within that pane. The
database is working and I can run querys using MS Query. The problem seems
to be with MMC or Enterprise Manager.

I am using SQL Server 7.623 Service Patch Level 4 or 6. I am not sure on
that point. This has been a stable well functioning system for years with
no recent changes. So I am sure it is not a configuration issue.

Thanks in advance for your help.

PS; I don't want to seem rude, but I am not interested in buying a new
"upgrade" to fix this so any MS adbots out there can just not bother with
responding to this post :)

It might worth a "shot", have you tried downloading MDAC 2.8 from the
microsoft site and installing it to see if it fixes the problem? One of my
servers gets an error when you start EM, but it works. It is only an error.
