i am developing one appilication in which i am using vb as front end and

If you need a secure connection over the internet, then a VPN configured to
allow access from your server to your client's server is probably the best
solution. This is not really an MSSQL question, however, it's a networking
question, so you need to talk to your own and your client's network
administrators.
