Increment an order number which is not pure numbers

P: 44
Hi there,

I am looking for a method to insert an order number which is in the following text format.

TT001, TT002, TT003, etc.

How could I achieve this in MS SQL Server?

Thanks ahead.

The order number is perfectly legal if inserted in a text field.
I assume you are concerned about this being a primary key.
Well a PK does not have to be an auto-increment or even an integer.
It is just faster if it is
