wmi access to sql server

Forgive a newbie's question ...

Can I access SQL Server and the databases and tables within using windows
script?

If so, could someone point me in the right direction?

You need to look at ADO. This is how you access a DB from a Script.

There is a WMI provider for MSSQL on the CD - it's not installed by
default. Alternatively, you can use SQLDMO for management tasks, or
ADO for data manipulation, from any COM-enabled language. See Books
Online for full documentation.
