I am trying to copy the data from one table to another table linked in
SQL. I keep getting an error message saying "the data types
nvarchar(max) and ntext are incompatible in the equal to operator" I
went into the SQL Management Server and tried to modify the codes and
am still having no luck. Any help would be appreciated.
The tables are on different servers?
How does your UPDATE statement look like? What is the CREATE TABLE
statement for the tables?

We used the importing tool in Access to import the table and data into
SQL
JobLogID int Unchecked
Notes nvarchar(MAX) Checked
Unchecked
This is what the table looks like in SQL Management.
That does not tell me much. Are you saying that one table is in Access?
(A product of which I have very little knowledge)?
I repeat: could you post the UPDATE statement, and the CREATE TABLE
statement for the tables? (Right-click in Object Explorer and select
Script To.) It's impossible to assist on guessworks only.
