Log shipping

Hi all,

i was wondering if for the use of logshipping two Enterprise Edition
versions of SQL Server are necessay or logshipping can also work
between a Enterprise Edition and a Standard Edition.

Does anyone know an url for me where i can read more about this. I've
found quite a lot of articles but not one telling me explicit that
logshipping does not work between an EE and a SE version.

Greetings,

Out of the box, log-shipping does not work between EE and SE.

However, there are plenty of scripts out there to allow you to roll your
own, albeit it often with fewer features than what is built into EE.

For example, I found some scripts that have allowed me to setup log-shipping
between two SE copies of SQL Server. No bells and whistles, but for the
most part it works.

Greetings,

Sjaak
