select 3 values from one table to return in one rs

I need to access a table and return 3 values from it in the same
recordset - ie one iteration of the recordset will have 3 values from
the same database, I have looked at sub queries but they dont seem to
be able to do what i want.

I would be grateful for any guidance

There are many possible solutions. But without a clue as to the DDL, the
data or the required result the best I can suggest is that you consider some
combination of : UNION / UNION ALL / JOINs / subqueries / CASE expressions.

Post DDL (CREATE TABLE statements), sample data (INSERT statements) and show
your required result if you want more help.
