URGENT - - A floating point exception occured in the user process

We get the following error message.
"a floating point exception occured in the user process. current
transaction is cancelled".

this message comes when trying to excute a stored procedure. This
exception is unpredictable.

OS : Windows 2000 (SP3)
Version: SQL server 2000 (SP3).

There are a couple of KB articles on this error:

All these are hotfixes for SP3, so you may consider opening a case
with Microsoft, to get your hands on a hotfix.

Alternatively, there is a build 8.00.818 which includes a security
fix, and which you should publically available for download, although
I don't have a link handy.
