We get the following error message.
"a floating point exception occured in the user process. current
transaction is cancelled".
this message comes when trying to excute a stored procedure. This
exception is unpredictable.
OS : Windows 2000 (SP3)
Version: SQL server 2000 (SP3).
There are a couple of KB articles on this error:
http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;812995 http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;816503 http://support.microsoft.com/default...b;en-us;818899
All these are hotfixes for SP3, so you may consider opening a case
with Microsoft, to get your hands on a hotfix.
Alternatively, there is a build 8.00.818 which includes a security
fix, and which you should publically available for download, although
I don't have a link handy.
