full text search and ampersand

rh
hi all,
anyone knows how to deal with ampersands in full text search?
such as:
select * from table where contains(field, 'at&t')

right now this errors out, saying:
Server: Msg 7619, Level 16, State 1, Line 1
Execution of a full-text operation failed. A clause of the query
contained only ignored words.

running sql2k sp2.

thanks,
rh
