SQL Server 2000 Mail

Hi everyone,

would any one please write me step-by-step how to enable sql mail service to send an e-mail according to a Trriger on insert.

regarding that I have an existing mail profile, working on sql server 2000.

since you say you have email working on the server then
put something like this in your trigger
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. EXEC master..xp_sendmail        @recipients = @Email, 
  2.                                 @message = @txt,
  3.                                 @copy_recipients = @Copy,
  4.                                 @subject = 'The subject'
  5.

Would you please send me the steps step by step. what I have done till now is:
1- Build my web application
2- Build my database
3- I have an e-mail profile and it is working very well on outlook.

So Kindly support me with the Mail configuration step by step.
