probleum in triggers

i want to create a trigger in sql server 6.0 but i have a little bit of knowledge of creating trigger , the query i used for creating is

create trigger reminder
on student
for insert, update
as RAISERROR (50009, 16, 10)


but i dont know how to execute it or how i use it in other query

You don't manually call a trigger.
