Hi all,

Any one know the advantage of creating reindex in a table? What actually happened behind the scene?

Thanks,
In short imagine you handwrite a telephone book ... and then you write an index at the front of unique names so as to be able to go to anywhere quickly in the book....a week later you amend/add to the main telephone book loads of new or changed/different handwritten pages....does your index at that point get updated? no! not unless you then edit the index page as well...reindex is the same kind of principle if you understand me and should be part of any maintenance plan you might have

Regards

Jim :)
