Questions on inserting jpeg image into SQL table

P: 93

Can anyone help me in this..i'm stuck

I have created a table in SQL server that contain field name (shotSelectedKeyfrm -int type, and imgSelectedKeyfrm-varchar(255) type) like below:

Column1 Column2
[shotSelectedKeyfrm] [imgSelectedKeyfrm]

I want to insert the path link in the second column (imgSelectedKeyfrm) which direct to the location where I store my jpeg image in my server folder c:\...\imagefolder\ . How do I insert that image in the column faster? I have 1000 over number of rows in the table.

The related image filename are same to the first colum say (32.jpg, 340.jpg, 989.jpg and so on).

Should I store image directly in the table above or just store the path link? Which is better/faster for retrieval later on?
