Standard Schemas?

Hi,

Anyone know an online source for database schemas, or schemas for single
tables i.e. where can I download a schema for an addresses table?

You might like to check your local post office, if they have anything.
For example, a Finnish standard for addresses is:
http://www.jhs-suositukset.fi/interm...256FAA00546B2F
The page is in Finnish, but that is to show my point: this is for a
single (and small for that matter) country, so for addresses alone there
would be hundreds of standards and I bet you need others also.

BTW. the standard contains an XML-schema as an example. You might get
better results, if you search for XML-schemata.

And thanks for the link - I will take a look.

Here's an interesting site I found while searching for information on
addresses - http://www.vianica.com/nicaragua/14-addresses.html. It seems
Nicaragua has a unique way of creating addresses based on directions from a
known location. I wouldn't like to have to generate the XML for that!

My friend told, that in Japan street houses are not numbered
sequentially, but based on their age. So if address is
"Somethingstreet 3", you have to search third oldest house
in the Somethingstreet.

Not by street but by age within a block
