Linking sql table in MS excess over dialup.

Please help me that I want to link MS SQL table in MS Access. Over LAN things work well with DNS for integrated security or otherwise but there is always error message that sql server do'nt exist or access is denied over dial up one to one satations.

Are you talking dial-up as in modem, or dial-up as in VPN?

The reason why it will not work is because you are not a part of the domain, and thus, you are not an authenticated user. I would suggest switching over to SQL Server authentication.

Hi, Motoma

On modem I am connecting as the user of the same domain of sql server. Think on a LAN the things work whether part of the same domain or not ?

What you suggest what is missing in sql authentication? Something deep.
