SQL Server and Net Apps

I have SQL Server 2000 with databases on the NetApps filer CIFS share.
For example, the datafiles are located at \\network share\server
share\microsoftsqlserver\mssql\data\...

Whenever there is a filer failover, some of the databases go in suspect
mode. Is there a setting on SQL Server like a time out setting from the
net apps that can be modified so that the databases will wait for a
while before going into the suspect mode?

Overall having databases on network shares is a risky business. It may
be OK for development databases you easily can recreate, but it's
definitely not a good idea for databases you want to keep. Production
databases should be on local disk, or disks in a SAN.
