Number of columns in Database

Hi,

How do i get the mumber of tables in a database in SQL Server

Please Help

Hi Neelam,
There is a system view called information_schema.tables for each database.

You can use:
Expand|Select|Wrap|Line Numbers
  1. select count(*) from information_schema.tables
  2.  
if you wnat to find the number of tables.
Check out the system views. You will find lot of information on tables, columns,constraints etc:
